Grandma and Grandma come to Visit
I told Jackson if he was well behaved this week he would get a HUGE surprise! :) Well, he was pretty well behaved for the most part of the week. Grandma and Grandpa showed up late Friday night to surprise him and come watch a couple of his games in soccer and baseball. He was SO excited to see them, and loved that they came to watch him play ball and hang out. Here are some pictures from this weekend with Grandma and Grandpa and well, of course the star of the show.
Enjoy!

Lunch date with the Boss
Well, Jackson has been begging and asking and asking some more for me to join him at lunch at his school. I had not done so as of yet, since he started school b/c I was waiting for him to get acclimated to school and not get upset when lunch was over and I had to leave. Silly me! He didn't get upset, he gets to go act like a crazy and silly 5.5 yr old little boy after lunch and play on the playground, no tears here!! :) I had the pleasure of sitting with him and his friend Myles and two other little friends who Jackson says don't normally sit at his table for lunch. What a fun time it was! My little man was SO happy to have me join him at lunch he saw me and said MOM, I'm buying lunch today! lol! WHAT?? He said, yeah, Ms. Wagner gave me a lunch ticket to buy lunch bc I don't have my lunch today. I said Jackson, remember I was coming to have lunch with you and you told me you wanted pizza from pizza hut (rotten!) and a sonic root beer!! :) He said, oh yeah, that sounds good too! Where does he come from??? He's such a riot but I had such a great time at lunch with him and hearing about his day! Although, later that night as he was going to bed, he whispered, mom, I didn't want you to leave, I was SO sad when you left at lunch! Awe, I DO know my boy just as well as I thought!!
Of course, here are some pictures from our day! Enjoy!

More baseball fun
Well, I told you I would try my hardest to maintain an updated and current blog and well, I missed a week, so sue me. :) In all seriousness, it was a crazy week, truck issues with the suburban, school, soccer, baseball, PTA, etc, etc...
Now, on to the more important details, Jeff and I celebrated 6 years this past September 16th, what a whirlwind it's been. We are blessed to have one another and most of all our sweet sweet boy, Jackson. God has truly blessed us with such a great little man and we could NOT be happier!
This is a catch up of the week of September 14th-16th, I'm referring to the weekend here.
Jackson had a baseball, soccer AND bonus 3 Rangers games that week/weekend! Enjoy the pictures, it was cool and rainy which at the time I thought was a bummer, but man, after this weekend of 95 degree temps, I think I'm ready for the coolness again!!

Fall's Officially Begun!
Well, today was the start of our baseball and soccer season for Jackson! What a FUN day it has been, and it's NOT over yet! :)
He is on the same teams, baseball is The Rangers and Soccer is the Dragons. Both teams are U6 this year and although they are the same teams, they rules differ a little. Baseball is modified coach pitch, where the coach has 3 pitches to each batter and if the batter doesn't hit one of those pitches the tee is pulled out and the batter hits from the tee. This is really to keep the game moving and keep the batter's esteem up, also it's a true 3 outs or if they don't get 3 outs before the whole team hits, they go through the whole team. Today both teams went through their whole line up first but I have a feeling as all the teams get better and get the nerves out of their systems, we will start to see 3 outs before the whole team has a chance to hit.
Jackson did great at baseball today, hitting all 3 times up, 2 times from the coach and once from the tee. His second hit was by far his best as it was a double and boy did he know it! :) Overall, we hope to see Jackson continue to build his confidence in fielding and maintaining his hitting.
Soccer was a GREAT improvement even over the Spring season. Jackson LOVES defense (after his mom) and did great defending the goal today. He only let one ball get by him but overall went after the ball and was NOT afraid to get in the mix and challenge the other team for the ball, couldn't be more proud!
We will continue to update as the season progresses and post pictures when possible! Stay tuned, we're excited!

Labor day Sunday!
What a great day today was! My SIL Jill opened up her house to some good friends of theirs and us! Jackson LOVES her swimming pool and we all had a blast with good food, great family and memorable times! My niece is also home from OU as this is her first semester in college and so far she seems to be loving it! So proud that she's doing well!
So far we have a had a great weekend with some baseball practice for Jackson, a Texas Rangers win and overall relaxing family fun times! Tomorrow we plan on going fishing or AKA "boat/sun time for me! :)
Enjoy some pictures from today!

First week of Kinder!
What a week it has been!
Jackson started Kindergarten this week and what a trooper our big boy was, SO proud, more than words could ever say. Lots of new friends, experiences and overall fun was had for all of us!
Jackson's teacher is Ms. Wagner, she is also an SFA graduate, just like Jeff (except Jeff is a few years older). :) In any case he really seems to enjoy her and we couldn't be happier so far! He has also met two new friends this week and seems to be adjusting to a new schedule and a new school.
He also lost a tooth this week! Again, what a BIG week it really has been for Jackson, more than we expected to be honest.
Mom and Dad overall have taken it in stride for the most part. Mom has dropped Jackson off like a "big boy" and Jackson has found his way to his class with just one hiccup on the 3rd day, but we learned our lesson quickly from that experience. The first bell rings at 7:40am so I have learned to drop Jackson off before 7:40 this way he can find his kindergarten line and sit with the boys in kinder and then walk in line to the kinder pod and not get lost. This has relieved any issues and made Jackson (and mom) more at ease.
We are looking forward to this 3 day weekend and relaxing and taking a load off from a big first week. We might enjoy some fishing on the boat before the season comes to and end and soccer and baseball ramp up!
Here are some pictures from the week, enjoy! Looking forward to next week and all the new activities it brings!
Will try and keep this blog updated as I really want to remember the little things from Kinder on up!
Thanks for reading!
